He began his artistic journey in his teens and twenties but took a long break to focus on his career\, family\, and renovating a historic home built in 1756 in Brimfield\, Massachusetts. He reignited his passion for painting upon retiring. \nTom has received accolades for his watercolor work\, including awards at the 2023 Massasoit Art Guild annual show and the 2024 Leicester Art Show\, along with the prestigious Vernon Graham Memorial Award for excellence in watercolor painting. He shares\, “I’ve always found inspiration in the architecture and landscapes of New England. I’m especially drawn to the light and shadows that only the change of seasons in New England can provide.” \nIn the fall of 2025\, Tom\, along with his wife Jane and their two dogs\, Riley and Piper\, relocated to Shepherdstown\, WV\, to be nearer to family. “I’m looking forward to painting scenes of the tri-state area (WV\, MD\, PA).
