He began painting as a young man in his teens and twenties. After an extended hiatus to pursue a career\, family and the renovation of a historic (1756) home in Brimfield\, Massachusetts\, he rekindled his passion for painting in retirement.  He has won awards for watercolor painting at the 2023 Massasoit Art Guild annual show\, the 2024 Leicester Art Show and was honored with the Vernon Graham Memorial Award for excellence in watercolor painting.\n“I’ve always found inspiration in the architecture and landscapes of New England. William is currently finishing his 10th CD along with another recording project in Eulogy to the First World War. William is looking forward to putting full time attention to his art and music after working over 40 years in the mental health field.”
