Description

This encaustic painting shows a beautiful Siamese cat with captivating teal eyes. It is 8″ x 8″ and encased in black frame (no matting), finishing the piece to 9″ x 9″. Created by Linda Barnhart.

This artwork is accomplished by using encaustic (hot wax), alcohol inks, and shellac and then setting. It. On. FIRE! The fire moves the color pigments of the inks around and causes the wax to bubble underneath, making it an unpredictable as well as original creation.
