Moody blue glazed pottery spoon rest with a mystic spiral, created with a wood-fired kiln under the care and dedication of Tameria Martinez of Boonsboro, MD. Tam says,”The porcelain and wild stoneware clay  that I work with provide the challenge that I desire for complex forms. The clay body then becomes the canvas, maximizing the effect of layering one glaze upon another, to achieve rich combinations of surface. Exploration of crystallization, ash, and fluid glazes are my focus for decorative expression.”
