Witches Rune Collection – Krista Trovato

As well as being a literal alphabet in the Viking ages, runes are believed to hold power, symbolize inherent qualities and values, and are associated with magic. They continue to be used as a modern divinatory method. All of the rune pieces can be safely stored in the wooden box. The box and runes are constructed with birch wood and decorated with burnt accents. Explanatory insert included. Crafted by Krista Trovato.

Birch wood symbolism – as the birch is a pioneer species, it is a symbol of rebirth, new beginnings and growth. It’s a sacred tree within the mythology of the Celts and is believed to have protective influences.

NOTE: dimensions are for shipping. Box is about 4 X 4 inches. and the rune tiles are about 1.75  X  just over 1 inch

PAPER: lists each rune name, symbol and meaning. On the back, the paper reads, “You should cleanse your runes according to your tradition initially and handle your runes often to form a connection. Reading runes relies on intuition and intention. When reading runes, intuition is key. Be sure to avoid predicting doom and instead offer opportunities for change.

1.) Cleanse your runes with incense, sage, sweet grass, or whatever feels right. Palo santo or myrrh are also good choices.

2.) Cleanse the space where you will do your reading and place the grid.

3.) Mix the runes in your preferred bag or bowl, preferably dedicated to the runes.

4.) Select three runes and lay them down in the order selected.

A 3-rune spread is the simplest and most versatile spread, but there are many online resources to learn others or help you design your own. Rune #1—the overview of your situation or query. Rune #2— challenges you need to beware of. Rune #3—advice or a foreseeable outcome that could come from the situation.”
