Sunchaser Leap Year Party
February 29 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Four years is a long time to wait to tryst with one’s lover, so when the moon catches up to the sun every leap year we celebrate their incandescent reunion on February 29th. Julius Caesar, in consultation with Egyptian astrologists (as you do), plugged in the extra day as a solution to the wonky Roman calendar, a solution so elegant that 2,500 years later we’re still using it.
We’re a little moon-mad here at GIB, which means we’re a perfect match for silver sorceress Michelle Arsenault, who will be here on Saturday 29th with her moon-inspired collection, which simply shimmers with magic and mysticism. You must drop by and see her wares and bask in her blazing sunshiny aura.

Folklore suggests that during a leap year the weather always changes on a Friday. Let’s all pay attention and see if that’s the case here in our little slice of heaven.
