Description
Created by Gary Rudisill. This is an original charcoal drawing of The Rock of Cashel in Ireland. The Rock was the traditional seat of the kings of Munster for several hundred years until that rascal William the Conqueror showed up and spoiled everything. Legend holds that the Rock was once part of a mountain twenty miles away called The Devil’s Bit, where St. Patrick expelled Satan from a cave in the mountain, flinging this massive hunk of it to its present location. Gary’s intent with this piece was to not only create a mood, but to give the viewer the feeling of awe and mystery the Rock inspires. Dark grey mat and frame white vignette boarder around the image.
NOTE: Currently on display at Inn Boonsboro.
