Gifts Inn Boonsboro is delighted to offer ‘Destination Inspiration’, an art exhibit by popular local painter Sharon Benoit.
Sharon is a fine artist who has worked in the local area for decades, in the watercolors we know her for best, but also acrylics and even murals. Her background in pottery and textiles lends her an intimate appreciation of colors, textures and the tactile nature of art. When you stand in front of one of her pieces, you not only feel as if you could easily step into it, you long to do so.
Sharon’s evocative landscapes and dreamy vistas show off one facet of her talent, “Realism is an excellent description of my work. I paint from nature, the abundance of beauty surrounding me. I love the outdoors, the rustic charm of century old barns, the smell of the air while walking next to the ocean in the fall, or the feel of soft powdery sand of a tranquil beach on my feet. Painting is my way of sharing with you the places I’ve been and the beauty I’ve seen and felt.”
